Much Simpler When

Life was much simpler when apples and blackberries were just fruits...
(Quoted all over the place, I've no idea of it's origins)
These blackberries were growing on the South Downs at the weekend. Am I mistaken or is the blackberry season longer than usual this year? They were side by side with some beautiful holly which was covered in berries.. I photo'd the holly too in case I get press ganged in to contributing to the Advent calendar again this year and I don't see anything I like better.
NB My usual date is the 19th Viv!!
