Renacted a Car accident at my Youth Centre as part
of some Road Safety work we're doing with local youts.
Pretty full on with a group of lads being in both vehicles
wearing safety clothing being cut ot vehicles by the fire
brigade and paramedics.Shock tactics that got a few
locals worried but if it stops a few joyriders (such an
ironic term) killing someone I'm happy.
Is Blair genuinely upset or is this a Gary Glitter moment?
Good meeting up with Mr G and JC. We found
ourselves in a Morrocan resturant with a belly
dancer.Normally this is some sad tourist routine
by a waiters auntie or someone who should know
better. But me and JC have to admit this girl was
a good dancer and pretty hot and and an interesting
intermission in our conversations about cultural
theories and fundamentalism.

Screen grab of my bro Shah from da film Syriana. Believe
man you make me so proud.
Little glossy inset in Guardian this weekend which had
me fooled for a few seconds. Caption in bottom pic reads:
'Guns and weaponry for the life we live today' . Its part of
an anti-arms trade campaign for Amnesty International.

Me and my partners anniversary and we went down to Riverside studios to check out 'Exonerated'. Had heard alot about this and it was well worth the tube journey west and the expensive tickets. Powerful stuff and simply told. Different guest 'stars' each week but da real stars are the painful testimonies renacted. Said hello to Steve Pemberton from LOG at the end but the words from da narrator character Delbert are da things thats stay in my head:
'This is the place for thoughts that do not end in concreteness.
It is necessary to be curious,
and dangerous to dwell here; to wonder why
and how and when is dangerous -
but thats how we get out of this hole.
It is not easy to be a poet here.
Yet I sing.
This made me laugh. On da back of a programme
for a school show my daughter was in.There is some
small print sadily...
Another young person tries to take their life in da
town centre. This time she miraclously survives...
I think I maybe knew her in and around da streets
of Wycombe. Seems to be alot of women and
people from Asian & African-caribbean backgrounds
been taking da jump. Drugs & booze and mental
illness have a big part to play in this. 'Bout six years
ago one of da lads in the Youth Centre that I worked
in at the time committed suicide and it was a big
shock to all of us.Some how we're not reachin' all
that we need to and I sometimes feel haunted by
