Kanheri Caves
in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai. Very old (1st century BC)
Buddhist Caves, in an extremely tranquil setting. They are quite beautiful. I
would have liked to have spent more time there. (And we very nearly
didn't visit them.)

Tiger

...at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai. We took a little caged
bus for 30 rupees and drove around an enclosure where lions and
tigers are allowed to run wild (but they seem to prefer to just sleep
[he's not dead, honest, he lifted his head when the bus arrived only
to flop it back down disinterestedly... the lions were
all asleep too]). We didn't see any other tigers on the trip. And
there were no elephants. I may have mentioned that before.
