The last leg.

I'm on the Belfast to Stranraer boat now, gets in at some really unsociable hour.
Trek up the coast and over to Stirling to pick up a full load at 6am.
Then the big old haul over to Hull for Friday night's crossing to Rotterdam.
Home Saturday lunchtime.
I'm not complaining, I like what I do, it's been a long week though, since Sunday afternoon.
They've called a driver's meeting for Sunday morning, I shall be at the swimming pool, and then bowling with the kids.

Holyhead last night

They've put up a new bridge to the ferry terminal. very Hi-tech!
Getting through Dublin this morning was a nightmare; a 19th centurary town with a 21st centurary traffic problem.
Out in the sticks now though, via the wiggley windey bits of central, rural Ireland up to the lovely Belfast.

Night run
Looks good in the dark, can't see the muck.

Nijmegen-Scheveningen this evening. Across the North sea with NorfolkLine tonight to Felixstowe. Mess about in Corby tomorrow lunchtime and then on to Holyhead for the night boat to Dublin.
Looks like I'll not be home 'till Saturday this week.

Continuing on the American lit. theme.
The first 20-30 pages seem promising.
I've still got "Catch22" kicking about somewhere, tried it about 17years ago, hated it, it irritated me, as I remember. One of the very few books I've not finished after starting. I'll give it another go after this one.

Cabrio-trailer!
(Wasn't me, honest, I just got sent to rescue it)
We've been looking for decent, new UK drivers for months now, they thought they'd found one, untill he smacked a bridge last week.
These trailers are not overheight (13'3" or 4m) so gawd knows what he was thinking about here!
I've got to take it (carefully) from Corby back to Nijmegen and when I get to the port tonight I know my colleagues will all be going "ooh, what have you done there?" and "oh dear, were you not paying attention?" and all the rest of it, I can already hear them now, and there'll be me, trying to convince them that it's not my mess.
