Bathroom-Blitz, day4

The plasterer, who was supposed to come first thing Tuesday but didn't,
came this morning.
Took one look at the preparations we'd worked so hard on, declared the
"yellow stuff" we were told to smeer into the bare bricks unsuitable for
the type of plaster he uses, gave me a bucket of "white stuff "and left.
Makes you kind of weary, all this, not tired just weary.

New bathroom bitz

She's been to the shops.
We've no plaster on the walls yet.
No shower, no sinks, no wc.
No floor.
We have ducks though.

"Kermis" in Zevenaar
Out and about with the tripod on the last night of the fair in town.
One or two decent looking ones in amongst there.
Too knackered to sift through them all tonight.
I'll 'av a butcher's in the mornin'.

Bathroom make over, day #2

Setbacks, setbacks.
You expect a few on every project but when your plasterer doesn't turn
up; all engines STOP.
He's apparently lost the fax that told him to be at ours today.
Can't do an awful lot 'till the walls are repaired and dried out.
Spent today re-routing the plumbing, filling in a few of the bigger
holes, exchanging stuff at the DIY store.
Might just leave it like it is, yellowstone cave-bathroom stylee, lump
of wood stuck in the corner, ivy hanging down.
Hmmm, now to persuade Cola.
