"Kermis" in Zevenaar

(viewed 464 times)
Out and about with the tripod on the last night of the fair in town.
One or two decent looking ones in amongst there.
Too knackered to sift through them all tonight.
I'll 'av a butcher's in the mornin'.

Bathroom make over, day #2

(viewed 472 times)
Setbacks, setbacks.
You expect a few on every project but when your plasterer doesn't turn
up; all engines STOP.
He's apparently lost the fax that told him to be at ours today.
Can't do an awful lot 'till the walls are repaired and dried out.
Spent today re-routing the plumbing, filling in a few of the bigger
holes, exchanging stuff at the DIY store.
Might just leave it like it is, yellowstone cave-bathroom stylee, lump
of wood stuck in the corner, ivy hanging down.
Hmmm, now to persuade Cola.

Are we having fun yet?

Sexy huh?
(Christ, that I'm stupid enough to blog a pic like this)
8am to 11pm wrecking the bathroom.
I'd have stopped earlier but there's a plasterer coming first thing in
the morning.
I'm gonna be stiff as hell.
Completely stripped out, down to the bricks,
shit that hammer-drill was getting heavy towards the end there.
Just finished painting on that yellow stuff that makes the plaster stick
Showered at Cola's parents place (two streets away)
No days as rough as this one to come now, hardest bit's done.
I'm poop'd.

So there I was with my huge tool in my hands, thinking "phew, there's a
whole lot of dust getting kicked up by this thing. I know, if I hack
through this here water pipe the spray will keep the dust down a treat"
It's not all just thrown together, all this you know, there's a master plan.

And then it was an empty room!
Plasterer's coming round tomorrow to lay us a nice flat surface to tile on.

Big (little) Bathroom make-over Part #`1

(viewed 520 times)
Away with that avocado-green washbasin and bathtub.
Banish those "rustic" 1970's wall tiles.
It's all ripped out now, no going back!
