just took this from the garden 5 minutes ago. best of 7 tries. F3.5 for 30 seconds time lapse on the shutter. clouds coming over nicely with the moon in there and some nice stars too. like it?

new virtual keyboard

got this new projected virtual keyboard to speed up texting and word docs/invoices when i'm out dealing with customers. works well in reasonably dim light. pickup is good unless you go for 5 finger typing, where the shadows confuse it. clever bit of kit. 3 hours use without plugging in the adaptor. need to solve a cable compatability problem with my xdaIIi though. might have to rewire myself - no great shakes... there's one out for about 120 quid now that uses bluetooth, but i'm not keen on having that on and available when i'm using the pocket pc anyway as windows ce leaves you open to viruses through the bluetooth connection - i've seen it done. thought you all might be interested anyway. nice little gadget. about the size of a matchbox... overall i'm happy with it.

Foolish! Just plain foolish. No excuse - reaching around the desk yesterday for a cable, I leant on the (closed) hp scanjet 3400c. crack. Idiot. Just do me a favour and put me out of my misery with a bullet! I really should know better.

Waterproofing

I'll never understand why when you've bought a tent you have to spray it with waterproofer. Surely it would be easier for them to do that in the factory..... ho hum... at least I got a practice run at putting it up.
