Knowledge pursues me but I am faster.......

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.......

.......One day, we will look back on this, laugh nervously, and change the subject…

Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.

The Highlands in April, beauty without the bites ....

Had a lovely break up in the highlands of Scotland, April is a great time to visit. We were very lucky with the weather, blue skies and sunshine and the scenery was just stunning ..... and NO MIDGES! .... I want to go back again this time next year and do some 'proper' walking .......

.... pic 2 reminds me of an Irish folk song, something about the last island swan (Christie Moore?) ... this lonely lad was the only bird on the loch and looked a little sad .....

Small, but perfectly framed ....

OK, I admit I am a little Shoot London obsessed at the moment ..... but this will be my last 'plea' post for a while (I am off to the Highlands of Scotland next week for a bit of a break) ....

.... so, please can I have team names from team leaders (there is a whole long list of suggestions somewhere in my last Shoot London posts) you can choose from that or make up your own ... Nige has come up with
'The Photogenic Hustlers Convention' for his, immortalised in metal and plastic already :)

..... I also need an email address from all of the team leaders to give to the organisers (I will be emailing you all in the next few days) ..... all this has to be done by the end of the month (though team names etc can be changed right upuntil the day (I will happily just choose names willynilly from the list if peeps don't come up with names) ....

.... I am just hoping that 'Water' will not be the theme .....

Shoot London spaces ...

(viewed 1507 times)
Sorry to say we have lost 3 members of the original Moblog teams ... I would dearly love to replace them with more Mobloggers, so I am offering the places to Mobloggers in the first instance ... there are a few nonmobloggers that are interested but I really would like Mobloggers to take them up ..
I am waiting on confirmation from Viv and JC1000000 ... I have emailed you guys but I have been having some problems with emails from peeps who are not on my safe list ...
UPDATE: Essitam, SFG and SWMBO have been added so we are back to our full quota :)

Thinking of Shoot London ...

Thinking of Shoot London
And all the permutations,
(Team members and team names
In various combinations) ...

One large mob or smaller groups?
Volunteers for team leaders,
(Badges, T-shirts and tattoos -
but don't be scared dear readers) ...

Well, today I started a two week holiday from school :)
So now's the time to get some serious organising done.

Firstly I would like some volunteers for team leaders (please don't nominate anyone, I don't want anyone to feel under any pressure). In actual fact all I really need are five names to give to Shoot London as team leaders (these don't necessarily have to be the actual leaders on the day). It is not a great responsibility anyway, all a team leader actually has to do is register the team at the beginning and hand in the card with the photos on at the end.

Secondly, as to how we organise ourselves. I know not everyone wants to go around in one big group ... personally I think a group of 20 is far too unwieldy (many years experience of school trips has taught me that smaller groups are much better - not that I am equating 20 Mobloggers to 30 teenagers on a school trip) ... I think peeps should have a choice, we could have individual groups, one small group and two large ones or any combination depending on who turns up ... nothing is set in stone ... and I am sure that however we start out the event will take on a life of it's own ...

Thirdly, the teams I posted were just suggestions, on the day, depending on who turns up, I fully expect there to be a fair amount of shifting about :)

So, first things first ... any volunteers ....

Shoot London (latest)

Had a very relaxed chat with Hannah White of Shoot London today.
By the beginning of May we really do need to have the teams sorted, team names and team leaders, the email addresses of team members (though I think that is not so important).

I will be emailing those who have indicated they would like to take part to get proper confirmation .. tickets sold out early last week and Hannah said there would be no problem in returning tickets and getting a full refund up until the first week of May (they do have a waiting list) ... so, get thinking peeps ....

The Revenge of the Easter Bunny ....

(viewed 1591 times)
Easter has been cancelled
(or so it would appear)
The easter bunny's hiding
'cos Nige bit off his ear ...

But Sprocket is determined
To get his easter treat,
He's searching high and low
For more bunnikin to eat.

Dust bunnies are all he finds
When he looks beneath the bed,
And searching in the fridge,
He gets a chilly head.

In the filing cabinet
He rifles through the drawers,
He finds some evidence,
A print of bunny paws ....

The cunning easter bunny
(he's sure been in the wars)
Brings on his secret weapon,
His evil cousin, 'Claws' ....

..... Easter has been restored .... Happy Easter Everyone!

War is a drag .....

1. Well the start of the demo was a bit of one .. lots of hanging about .. but on the upside you got to meet peeps like these :)

2. My friend Clare, does she remind you of anyone?

3. The conspiracy theorists ... I do miss G :(

4. This lovely man, in his late eighties, has been on all the anti war demos and CND marches (going back over 50 years), I just hope I am as committed and as articulate when I reach his age ... he was interviewed by local radio ... I listened in, and was really impressed ...
