This Santa Claus will cause a buzz
When he's out on the town.
Smiles and laughter follow him,
You'll never see a frown ...
His many little woolly friends
Are there with their own greetings,
No 'Baa Humbug' here ... they're
Wishing you 'Season's Bleatings' ....
Santa Claus is back in green,
(as he was in days gone by)
Coca Cola turned him red,
(I heard that on Q.I.)
The title for this pic,
(it'll make you groan, I fear)
With wellies and waterproofs
It's 'Santa and his Raingear' ....
...... in the next few weeks leading up to Christmas I have decided to do a Moblog version of Secret Santa .... I'll be dressing various Mobloggers up in Santa suits ... all you have to do is guess the Moblogger ..... I have started with an easy one ...... they will get increasingly difficult as the weeks progress ....
A parcel came this morning
It was long and thin and hard,
I really was excited,
Even though there was no card ...
I tore off all the paper,
And there there was revealed,
A metre of Jaffa cakes,
Oh how I laughed and squealed ...
Thank you so much Dhamaka, and yes, I love my alternative greeting :D
Jump month now is over
(Today's the final day)
All of us non jumpers
Can shout a loud Hooray!
No more hibernation,
Our Nige can be set free,
We all can jump with joy,
(Yes, I see the irony)
A package lying on the ground,
Glowing orange in the dust,
A parcel of great mystery,
Open it ?, yes I must ...
Just hang on for the next one,
Suppress the raging beast,
If you like orange jelly
You're in for a right royal feast ....
Nige this is your comeuppance,
But please don't get the hump,
Though we really love you dearly,
We just don't want to jump!
The third little pig was right,
You should build your house with bricks,
Now our hibernation home,
Will stand up to your tricks ....
Well, I have just discovered that Nige has 'Feet of Clay' ..... I am going one step further ..... the 'what happens next' will be posted on Friday ....
Our hibernation box was trashed,
As we ate our last great feast,
Jumped on by a lunatic,
It's not fit for man nor beast.
Like the phoenix from the ashes,
There rose a brand new box,
This time a sturdy packing case,
Silk lined with D's old frocks.
Settled for the duration,
Quite calm (in no way vexed)
Look carefully at the picture,
And guess what happens next ....
