Christmas at Molescroft

At Molescroft Primary School, England we celebrate Christmas in lots of ways.

We collect shoeboxes and fill them with toys and gifts to send to
children in other countries who might never have had a present before.

We light up our huge tree outside school with thousands of lights!

We make decorations for our school hall and hang them from the ceiling.

In our special Christmas Tree Assembly, the Headteacher tells us a
magical story and we turn on the Christmas tree lights. This year a
fairy flew to the top of the tree!

Our younger children put on a Christmas assembly, and tell us the
story of the Nativity.

How do you celebrate Christmas at your school? We'd love to know - and
we'd really enjoy seeing some pictures of your Christmas celebrations
too!

Any teachers who would like to contribute pictures to the blog, if you
don't already know how to, please just e-mail your photos and message

Playground Games

We are students from United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) in Singapore. We come from all over the world. Tom and Mrs Beasley took photos of us playing some playground games.

Kids 001 - This is the pirate ship in our infant playground. We like playing in the sand.

Kids 002 - We like to walk on the balance beams in our infant playground.

Kids 009 - Like most kids, we enjoy playing basketball with our friends.

Kids 011 - Some of us try our skills with the hula hoop.

Kids 015 - Handball is another popular game.

Kids 020 - Recently we got some diablos to play with. Some of us are getting really good at throwing the diablo up in the air and catching it on the line.

Playtime Games at Molescroft (England)

We are really lucky to have just opened a new adventure playground
which we can play on at playtimes. It's great fun, especially now it
is Spring in the UK.

We also love playing football on the field at playtimes, and more
traditional games like 'What time is it Mr Wolf' and skipping games.

What do you like to play at playtimes?
Which is your favourite game?
Have you made up a game to play?

Kabalega Primary School - Uganda

Molescroft children have been exchanging information and even songs with the
pupils of Kabalega Primary School in Uganda. Kabalega School has 1092 pupils
on its roll. In the lower primary there are sometimes 84 pupils per a class.
Most pupils come from very humble back grounds and attending school is very
difficult, but this does not deter them and most pass with top grades
in 1st and 2nd year primary exams. Molescroft has recently been sent these great photos of everyday life in Uganda and we are sharing them with Molescroft pupils and the community through our international blog.
