*Children hallow small things. A child is a priest of the ordinary, fulfilling a sacred office that absolutely no one else can fill. The simplest gesture, the ephemeral movement, the commonest object all become precious beyond words when touched, noticed, lived by one's own dear child.*

Car Trouble

(viewed 813 times)
When we came out of Sainsbury's we couldn't get the car in gear, we were stuck there. My sister in Law Mrs J came and got me and DD and took us home while BS waited for the RAC.

While we getting something to eat I was thinking how lovely and cheerful the kitchen is here when DD suddenly said *It could've been worse. A lunatic Dalek could've sliced our heads off...*

I had to admit I hadn't thought of such a thing myself, but you never know...

Thanks Mrs J x

Knitted Character

(viewed 936 times)
We have just entered Harry Hill's knitted character competition with this photo. DD's Grandma knitted this character and at Christmas BS used him in the school play when they did a version of *Where's the Knitted Character been this week?*

Suddenly everything was explained. I understood. Not sure yet whether this understanding is a good thing or a bad thing, but I understood...

The scene outside the window remained unchanged.

Memory

*Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.*

Kevin Arnold

I grew these Narcissus Tete a Tete from bulbs. Also some blue hyacinths and a couple of amaryllis hippeastrum.
