So that my Twisted Sister can gasp in astonished admiration....

There was a colony of feral cats living near the hotel. DD had encountered strays before in London but this was her first experience of these ferocious but incredibly shy rough sleepers. Fortunately she has a way with animals and made sort of friends with this one who she named Cosmic Creepus after the witch's cat in Bed knobs and Broom sticks. She smuggled food out of the restaurant and fed him every night. Sometimes she is so incredibly like me. I know this shouldn't surprise me, but it always does. Perhaps it's because she and BS have such big strong personalities that I feel like my genes are swamped.... : )

This is the Cosmic one drinking out of the pool. It wasn't chlorinated but it was very salty. Another holiday maker and I tried giving him fresh water. He was horrified, absolutely outraged by it!

Last Dance

(viewed 1499 times)
Traditional May celebrations here in the Rift include country dancing on the village green on the day the school breaks up for half term. Only the year sixes actually dance using the Maypole. This was DD's last dance, she will going to secondary school in our nearest town in September.

No flowers for me this week!

No fresh flowers this week as we are going away for half term. One of the guys bought me these Alstromeria a couple of weeks ago and they lasted and lasted on my kitchen window ledge. Even then they didn't die, they just fell to bits!

And the song in my head? Altogether now:

*When I get to Warwick Avenue, meet me by the entrance to the tube...*
