Annual Junk Food Day

(viewed 1744 times)
We had a KFC zinger tower meal for lunch.
We have not eaten this sort of junk food for a long long time.
Today was exceptional. Quick and cheap...
Well, It cost us more than 8 pounds, so it was not so cheap,
but considering more than 3 pounds each for
a horrible sandwich at Costa. KFC was a better choice for us.

Carnaby street

(viewed 1495 times)
What is going on in Carnaby Street. I can't remember when last time I
visited here but everything is changed.
There are no silly heavy metal &
Goth shops anymore.
It's all chain sports brand shops.
The street looks very similar to Neal Street in Covent garden.
Where are all the shops gone?

It was not just Carnaby Street, when we visited Japan centre,
I could not recognised the place.
Ground floor is now restaurant, 1st floor is travel agency and book shop.
Basement food shop is still there but layout is all changed.

I might go back there again to try the restaurant!

Off to West End

(viewed 736 times)
Visited west end to do some Christmas shopping this morning.
It was quite cold, went and miserable. Therefore, thankfully, not so many people were out there.

Italian tonight

(viewed 577 times)
I had a dinner tonight with a visitor from Japan.
We went to Italian restaurant in bow lane.
Garlic bread, calamari, sea food salad as starter,
then one plate each of spaghetti as main.
I was very surprised that many people were at the restaurant even on Tuesday.
It must be a very popular restaurant.

New washing machine

(viewed 793 times)
We recently bought a new washing machine since previous one started to have a problem with spinning.

We bought it from John Lewis' online shopping. They delivered the product within a week from order, fantastic!, thought driver did not turn up for the time they promised. That was the only down side.

This one also do tumble dry. It's great that we do not need to decant from washing machine to tumble dry anymore. Set the time and forget about it for few hours!

Busy market

(viewed 583 times)
We go to Borough Market every Saturday morning for our weekly produce shopping.

Trying to get there by 9:30 at the latest, otherwise this place becomes too busy with tourists who are browsing the place with food in their hand.

Fish shop was very busy this morning, however we managed to get some smoked kippers, sword fish and squid.

This is south end of Stoney street, just off borough high street.
