I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.
What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...
I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose
Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...
food for thought...
Everyone, in some small sacred sanctuary of the self, is nuts. -Leo Rosten, author (1908-1997)
We think caged birds sing, when indeed they cry. -John Webster, playwright (c. 1580-1634)
There are two kinds of light -- the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures. -James Thurber, writer and cartoonist (1894-1961)
The artist brings something into the world that didn't exist before, and he does it without destroying something else. -John Updike, writer (1932-2009)
Some people become so expert at reading between the lines they don't read the lines. -Margaret Millar, novelist (1915-1994)
There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest. -Elie Wiesel, writer, Nobel laureate (b. 1928)

My sister's family camped locally at Appletreewick and Alan's sister's family stayed at the cottage up the lane, we shared time with them separately and on Sunday we had a BBQ together. Had a good time despite the poor weather.

City's third visit of the season and their only unsuccessful one! Hey that's the way it goes - was an interesting experience, pity City didn't come up to the mark the 3-2 result flattered them and all the goals were at the other end of the field - which makes me really appreciate the position of Alan's (now padded seat) in the centre and at the front of the first tier.

Deciding that I didn't want to go out on Sat - before arriving at Beth's (to help her finish the last of the cleaning and to bring her and the last few bits and pieces home) I decided to do a supermarket shop as well as pick up a new oven - the result was a car where every nook and cranny was filled and Beth who was totally surrounded in her seat and topped with 2 bags and 3 lampshades! We were congratulated by passers by on their way to a night out!
