I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.

What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...

I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose

Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

food for thought...

Everyone, in some small sacred sanctuary of the self, is nuts. -Leo Rosten, author (1908-1997)

We think caged birds sing, when indeed they cry. -John Webster, playwright (c. 1580-1634)

There are two kinds of light -- the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures. -James Thurber, writer and cartoonist (1894-1961)

The artist brings something into the world that didn't exist before, and he does it without destroying something else. -John Updike, writer (1932-2009)

Some people become so expert at reading between the lines they don't read the lines. -Margaret Millar, novelist (1915-1994)

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest. -Elie Wiesel, writer, Nobel laureate (b. 1928)

a full friday, yoga, lunch with friends and an excellent evening's music. The first act 'Trevor Rowley' not pictured has the guitar shop on Call Lane. Top Topham was an original member of 'The Yardbirds' and has performed with lots of famous peole. Also do like to see a double base - (Jon Idan) apologies to the lead singer and drummer for having no decent pic's.

The evening...

(viewed 714 times)
weather - torrential rain
but we picked Helen up and went to Keighley, 2 halves of Timmy Taylor's landlord and card and present opening followed by a curry from the always reliably good Moghul, finished at home by a glass of Old Pultney and some chocs - a very good day :)

Top pressie is a dish for baking cheese - not sure that is how it will get used - colour perfect for my lounge.

The other pressie from both girls is knobs and a plan of where they should all go when I paint my kitchen cupboards! So I will have to stop procrastinating! Thanks again girls - truly original x

It was a flower show...

and I did buy some plants :)
a rambling rose - horjasper
3 hardy fuschias
lobelia - Queen Victoria
and a large agapanthus root - Campanulatus 'Albus'
and solanum jasminoides

the bag and chives were forced puchases for getting cash

and hardly looked at the food hall which was a shame but did nip in to get some favourites!

I went to Harrogate spring flower show. Think we spent as much time in the Craft Hall as looking at flowers. These were my purchases for me - to be funded by Alan for my present :)

What is Beth up to?

You will have to wait to find out - it's her story - but these pictures taken the week after Easter were too good not to share!
