Cartuja Monastery Granada

Looks simple from the outside - and the monastery rooms are, but inside the chapel is just gob-smackingly baroque!It really is quite mind blowing. Unfortunately you couldn't take pics and I'm a good girl!

On searching google I found no pictures that did the interior any justice at all but there was this one of a statue that was quite amazing and we spent some time looking at.

Ah found some on flickr worth viewing them in original size.

If you go to Granada you should visit. We caught a bus saved us a lot of money against taking the proffered tour. To get to the monastery, you can catch buses 8 or C from the Gran Vía. This is also one of the stops on the City Sightseeing bus route.
