I'm here because it's a place where I want to be.

What do I do with my life - still pondering that, keep exploring the possibilities I suppose...

I do have another more personal moblog Vivupclose

Take a look at my daughter Beth's website...

Time to catch up - back to Thursday June 3rd (4 months ago - oh dear!)

This was the seventh day of work on the house. Weather was perfect. Our lane at its best. I love the stone wall and the icelandic poppies and other summer flowers.
At this time the front room had been isolated from the rest of the house. Furniture found temporary homes elsewhere in the house and TV; Alan's chair and the settee tightly fitted into the dining room.
The builders replaced the ceiling boards and removed the old fireplace no exciting finds so they simply opened it up. A beam was procured from a neighbour (who collects such things). About 2/3 of the walls had been cleared of old/loose plaster (revealing 2 quite disturbing cracks the second of which merited the calling in of a surveyor. He didn't seem too worried and the cracks were tied with metal strips) Re-plastering began.Meanwhile the new stove has been delivered and is sitting on our 'patio'...

24th May - a morning in hot and sunny Southwold

Wonderful day to be in this lovely place, walk along the beach, have coffee with the ladies who walk dogs and have coffee(!), browse the shops and drink the nectar that is Adnams.
