I Love Techno!

Rich and I went to see Kraftwerk and others at I ♥ Techno in Ghent. It was mash up. There were 28,000 green-haired Belgian ravers and us. Kraftwerk were awesome and played for at least two and a half hours. I saw Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Ellen Allien, Apparat and Cassius as well, who all dropped some heavy heavy tunes. Nice.

BTW, if anyone's into their minimal techno at all (Richie Hawtin, Magda, Marc Houle, etc) or is willing to experiment a bit, I made a minimal techno mix CD recently (~100mb MP3).

Shozu on S60 phones is a whole other thing dontcha know. After installing Shozu on the N73 (and disabling the Orange-branded Pixota app) I now get a prompt "Upload to moblogUK" immediately after taking the picture. Great! The downsides are that it's set up for photo sharing rather than blogging, so there's no way to upload multiple pictures as one post. I'll just have to use the old fashioned method for that. Also, tags don't seem to work at the moment.

Why not celebrate at the zoo?

I love this picture, part of a series of four. I would buy it in a second, but sadly it is an original collage work and carries a price tag of £145. A little rich for me.

MobMart - Sell, browse and buy on your mobile

(viewed 1626 times)
As well as Moblog, I've been working with another mobile company, MobMart. We're launching on Monday, and we're going to be giving prizes to the best items posted each day. Anyway, sales pitch mode:

MobMart is the world's first mobile-powered auction site. To sell something, just snap a picture, send it to 07720 11 00 22 and fill in the simple form. Selling is completely free while we beta test the site.

MobMart is the first auction site to let you do everything from your mobile; sell, browse, bid and pay. Because you're using your camera phone, you can post video clips too. Create your own TV ads! You can also do everything online at We'll send you texts when bids are placed on your items or when you're out-bid. We've kept everything simple so it's really easy for you to sell stuff and find a buyer quickly.

Starting Monday 9th October, we will be looking for the best item posted each day and giving the seller £50. That might be the biggest, the smallest, the craziest, the best video, or just the most well crafted sales pitch. Come and sell something, not only will you find a buyer, but you could also get £50!

To sell, snap a picture, send it to 07720 11 00 22 and fill in the simple form.
To browse and buy just text "MOBMART" to 80988 or go to on your phone.
