Went to take out the garbage, heard rustling in the bushes that I
thought might be a squirrel or rodent of some kind, but no, it was a
rather frantic fast moving snake.
Seemed annoyed at my presence and wanted to go the other way, blocked by
the fence. So after darting towards me briefly, it opted to spiral up
the tree and away, somewhere above my head. I left the area.
