Clockwise from the top left: Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt in
Vanilla. Bite Bites Organic Chocolate; Mild cheddar cheese cut into
leaves, pumpkins, apples and acorns, with miniture cookie cutters -
details done with a toothpick. Raisins; Cinnamon Fuji Apple fruit
chips. Vegitarian Meatballs and Ch'kn nuggets; Mayo colored blue with
just a drop of food coloring. This is my first attempt at bento and not the prettiest thing ever,
but Ben picked each and every food in it, so I have high hopes for him
actually eating it. All the "meat" is vegetarian. For that matter, all
the food is kosher dairy so that he can bring it to school. The lack
of green is by request as apparently green is "icky".

This is the first pepper to come of the plant that Ben has been growing since last spring. He started by taking the seeds out of a pepper I was cutting up for a salad, and planting them in an old egg carton on our kitchen table. We transplanted them to old water bottles cut in half, and then this summer it made it into the ground where it has flourished.
After picking the pepper off the plant and bringing it inside he commented how there was no sticker on it. I about died laughing.
