Rare steak

(viewed 6114 times)
So, for future reference, when I say I'd like a rare steak this is what I'm expecting. None of this "slightly pink in the middle" nonsense. This is my idea of how a steak should be!

Ever feel like you've been totally dropped in it at the deep end?

This morning, I got to work with an absolute apocalyptic headache and was instantly told I was doing a training course. Bonus I thought, just another day listening to someone drone on about our product.

No. I was in fact taking the training course and it was me who would be droning on about our product.

Oh well, never mind I thought. I'll just go through the power-point slides, set them the exercises and it'll be fine.

No. There were no slides, presentation, exercises or indeed anything. Cue me winging it completely and making up six hours of training and exercises for the students on the spot.

A truly bizarre day!

Someone left a tap running...

... or a pipe has burst or something. You can't see it very well but the carpet outside my flat is totally soaked. Luckily it doesn't seem to have got inside, so there is no damage to my place.

The electricity has been off though and my fridge now seems suspiciously warm.

Thinking about it, maybe there was a power cut and someone's freezer has defrosted itself somewhat excessively...

Since the nights are getting longer and the weather is getting colder I
have decided that it is time to start cooking stew again.

Rob & Kate's Wedding

A rather excellent day! From top to bottom:

1. Lee and Carri give it some on the dance floor!

2. Ian, Piers and Ben waiting outside the church.

3. Inside the church. Due to my phone camera being crap you can't see the very good rendition of the last supper in the stained glass window :(

4. Rob and Kate departing, now wed!

5. The happy couple arriving at the reception in style on a punt (it is Cambridge after all).

6. The party in full swing.

7. DMcG looking shifty...

So, to sum up, a fantastic day was had by all. It was a great turn out and everyone had loads of fun, drank loads and had fabulous food. Congratulations all round I think!

P.S. I reckon Joie will have much better pictures than me!!!

Since Waps found himself a big moth the other day, I thought I would
take a picture of this one! It's huge.

First one, pre-capture coin is a 50p piece for scale.

Second one, post-capture (in a pint glass - the only thing I glass I had that was big enough)

/edit - no moths were harmed during the making of this picture. The moth was humanely thrown from my window and flew to its freedom.
