It seemed this subject had a pinched nerve at the base of its tail, so I we shall see how it fares after the tailectomy.
Is it just a simple decoration? Or, is it an ancient artifact of arcane power guarding the entry to the subterranean lair which houses the laboratory where I conduct my experiments? The world may never know...

On the Rocky Top overlook at Giants Ridge
I suppose this little guy thinks he's hiding. This whitetail fawn was hanging out on the disc golf course at giants ridge yesterday.
If you are ever driving down Cedar Island Drive on Ely Lake on the iron range in Minnesota, keep your eyes open for a multicolored fence built out of sewing machines. It's quite a sight.
While playing disc golf at the grand opening of the Historic North Hibbing
Disc Golf Course, we stumbled across the nest of a partridge (or more
likely, ruffed grouse) with a bunch of eggs. They are each about the size
of a large chicken egg. It was unexpected in such a popular recreational
area, but, then again, these birds are not known for their intelligence.
