Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.

There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

Me gone!

Finally left my job @ Green St Youth &
Community Centre after almost 11 years.
Something like 150 people turned up to my
leaving do betwen midday and midnight last
week and I got inundated with gifts which
was so sweet. Big love & shouts out to Sofi,
Saika, Semaira, Fazia, Nafeesa and co for
everything on da day. Proper touching.
Still be involved on Management but had to
move on as a worker.

New Town Centre

(viewed 666 times)
Crazy last month so not been blogging too much.
Few weeks back this new shopping centre opened.
One of my youth club lads actually managed to get
banned even before it opened which considering da
place it is, is maybe not such a bad thing. It's full
of expensive shops, with through ways open 24hrs,
no ethnic outlets and none of the cafes do
halal food. The ironic thing is that it has been
built on land that was originally back in da day
da worse slums in Wycombe. None of it connects to
da town it's just been plonked in and its supposed
to be a paradise. For who I wonder...?

This is what happens when you take your eye off da ball...

This pic is from four years ago round about da
time of da last local elections. Whilst we get
carried away with symbols of faith - headscarfs,
cartoons and da like - things like this are
happening and not getting picked up. Since
2000 there has been an approximate 90% increase
in racially/religiously aggravated crime and a
140% rise in racially/religiously aggravated
harassment. Overall nationally 11% of harassment
offences are racially or religiously aggravated.

The line is drawn and the anti is pumped up.With
more local elections due this year it's sure to
get interesting but we need to be vigilant about
da human fallout.

They get free mobiles . . . don't they?
