Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.

There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

Happy New Year

(viewed 1440 times)
Wit family in London over New Years so greetings
to one and all. This pic from a peace garden in Malta.
2006 has been a tough tough year. Too much happenin'
around us and too many lost in da inner and not seeing
da wider picture.

Stay wise in 2007 fellow bloggers

Some of the young people will be putting their own
blog together on Moblog so watch dis space. This was
taken down by da Marina in Barca where they've
got mirrors in the entrance.

Cable car in da Marina. Not sure if Wahleed is scared
of heights but he had his eyes closed.

We all went shopping by da Plaza da Catalunya.
Love dis sign and it sums up pretty much da group
that we had.

Y'know I do some crazy tings sometimes...
Took a group of 18 young people with 7 staff/adults
to Barca for four nights. Wanted to give peeps
an opportunity to travel in Europe (most of them
never been abroad apart from Pakistan) and also
for da older ones, da know how and confidence to
do this. Love this pic just caught one of da young
women spreading her wings on da cannon.

Crew on da Metro - we got them to say Hola to
everyone and make conversation. Some of da
boys took this a bit too far...

We got all our portraits done - had to explain what
a caricature was to a few of dem but I love my chin
in dis pic.

Group in a lift - felt sorry for da woman at da back
with six of us in wit her.

The more I see the less I believe...

Imagine this scenario...

Bloke dies - radiation poisoning in suspicious
circumstances 100's possibly 1000s are affected. Areas
cordoned, some planes halted. Internally they go for 'Gold
command' - the highest level for any threat to 'national
security' but keep this hushed up.

However no airports are closed and most flights continue
pretty much. Russian Embassy is not closed and russian
houses are not raided, churches stormed etc.

When is a state of emergency not a state of emergency?
Can you put a number on it?

12 locations maybe
33,000 BA passengers
221 flights
5,500 enquries on NHS Direct helpline

When is a public health scare not a public health scare?

Now if I think of August's events - the paranoia that was
hyped up, da raids and arrests up and down da country
and how disportionate it all seemed from da evidence that
was put in front of us so far gets me fuming

Peeps who are my friends and who I work with are
directly affected. Their names dragged through da mud and
their families humiliated. I am still under constant surveillance.

For what?
