Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.

There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

Travels in Tooting

(viewed 1859 times)
Down Tooting over weekend for Eid shopping. Always
brings back memories of my childhood and chilling
down da Broadway. Some things don't change - Old
Market, da crap Asian clothes shops down London
road and da Old library where we used to get chucked
out back in da day. Only tings missing are the record
shops - anyone remember Goodness Records by
da tube station?

Visit to Hospital

(viewed 1548 times)
Went to see one of my lads at Stoke Mandeville Hospital
in Aylesbury. Hate going hospitals anyway but Stokey
gives me da jitters. This was da lad who was shot back
in January and is paralysed from the waist down at the
moment. He'd come out but looks as if he self harmed
and stuck a hot knife in his legs and is now back in. This
is what I've got from his brother. Left da place depressed.

Listening to this tune constantly and I think I need to
make sure that some of my lads with anger problems
listen to it too...

Sounds courtesy of Rukus featuring man like
Klashnekoff, Ty and Yogi.

Brown and Blue

(viewed 2002 times)
New Police Officer in my area came down to give a
talk during Ramadan to some of my guys down da
youthclub. PC Raja Yusef took abit of stick from some
of da lads but was also able to give some truthful
accounts of whats it like being on da other side. Could
never do it myself - be a step too far but respect to da
guy for at least fighting his corner and challenging the
cycle of criminalisation that some of our boys are locked
into.

After a lull tings looking up for Shah - currently being
directed by Danny Boyle in da sequel to 28 Days Later
which will be out next May.

Deference

(viewed 969 times)
Top article in da Guardian last week all about pretence
and deference - one of the definitions of this word is
'courteous submissiveness'. We do as we're told
because we assume that people in power are better
then us.

Brought this from Turkey last year and finally getting the
motivation to pick it up and try and play it. Know a few guitar
chords but this is loads harder.

(viewed 975 times)
Sunil Kumar killed himself on July 26th this year.
He was a survivor of the Union Carbide disaster in
Bhopal in 1984. Yesterday they marked his death
by planting trees in his name in many countries over
da world. Read his story here and the video
about the disaster here This shit still haunts me...
