Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.

There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

My worst nightmare

(viewed 1788 times)
Another incident and more of the lads I work with seem to
want to throw their lives away. Got a bro whose critical
with three shotgun wounds. Trying to work with cops on da
ground to make sense of this but truth is they ain't really
helping. Seem to be more bothered setting up young lads
as bait to get the bigger dealers. Have been asked by the
Police to assist in getting a statement from this guy who's
still semi-conscious - not looking forward to it as I hate
hospitals at the best of times. All I know is that our parents
did not come to this country to bury their own children...

More Green Street Stories

(viewed 1698 times)
Police cordon for attack down my road and
around da corner from da youthclub. Shit is
getting dangerous but we reap what we sow...

'It is the moment of the boomerang; it is the
third phase of violence; it comes back on us,
it strikes us, and we do not realize any more
than we did the other times that it's we that
have launched it.'

Wot be going on?

(viewed 2295 times)
Bit late on dis but been busy... Seems like da yout of High
Veecombe are on a deathwish as most of Green Street is
cordoned off after a machete attack and kidnapping at
2.30pm yesterday afternoon. Peeps don't realise how this
lets in da cops in to police the area in a blanket way and
to 'gather intelligence' which, if you were to meet some
of da brothers is in very short supply.

Seems now that finger printing ain't enuff and they want
DNA swabs. Have seen this being done in a cop shop
with a young person who had been arrested and
understand use of it some circumstances such as
rapes & sexual assaults but the way it is being used
indiscriminately sucks big time and it is even being
taken in situations where a yout is only suspected
of a crime and is subsequently released and this
DNA held. Not only is Big Brother watchin' you but
s/he has a piece of you as well...

CCTV fun

(viewed 1642 times)
Used to have a mate who did security at da Octagon
Shopping Centre in High Veecombe. He let me have
have tape of some of my youth club lads break-dancing
at 2am. Found some footage on an old computer which
I used to transfer some of da tape when I was learning
how to edit video. If I get a chance will upload 3gp file of
this clip

Visa to India

(viewed 1708 times)
Finally got my visa for India. Going out for family wedding
and to travel. Also going to Pakistan in June after 20
years which will be interesting. Have a stake in both
countries and hate all this rivalry. Any tips from Bloggers
who have been out there as I want to maintain da blog
during my trips out. There will be internet cafes and stuff
in main cities but not in the da pind (the stix) where some
of my relatives are. Got a Nokia 6680 and Dell wireless
