Yes, yes people I have emerged from my self realised obscurity to bestow knowledge on all headz. Used ta be out and about now strictly lying low dispensing wisdom.
Too much going down to stay quiet, now all of us have to rise up and speak truth to power.

There has to be more to us than dhal roti and Nokia phones...

Truths & Untruths

(viewed 1650 times)
Read the speech made by Harold Pinter when accepting
his Nobel prize for Literature. He makes a devastating
attack on US & UK foreign policy and Iraq

'We don't do body counts,'
General Tommy Franks

Where was the dead body found?
Who found the dead body?
Was the dead body dead when found?
How was the dead body found?
Who was the dead body?
Who was the father or daughter or brother
Or uncle or sister or mother or son
Of the dead and abandoned body?
Was the body dead when abandoned?
Was the body abandoned?
By whom had it been abandoned?
Was the dead body naked or dressed for a journey?
What made you declare the dead body dead?
Did you declare the dead body dead?
How well did you know the dead body?
How did you know the dead body was dead?
Did you wash the dead body
Did you close both its eyes
Did you bury the body
Did you leave it abandoned
Did you kiss the dead body

Harold Pinter

Proud day for Doc D

(viewed 1867 times)
Kids are still little but are slowly starting to do tings
wit their lives but dis is the next best thing. One of
my boys making good. In my first blog entry a few
months back I mentioned a lad called Shah - Shahid
Ahmed who's an actor - well da film he was in 'SYRIANA'
has jus' come out state side and has been reviewed
in da New York Times last week and they gave him
a name check and highlighted his performance.
This in the company of G Clooney,William Hurt,
Matt Damon & Amanda Peet This is the same bruv
from Cheetham Hill, Manchester who I worked with
back in da day and from day one encouraged to get
into acting with a company called Aajkal ('Nowadays'
in Urdu/Hindi). Feels so proud today of him and he
was almost in tears when I told him of da review.
Believe it makes my working life worthwhile. Too
many of us falling thru we got to take da little victories...

Would appreciate any reviews/feedback from US
mobloggers who've seen the film.

Top pic is a video grab from a film called 'YASMIN'
he was in last year.

Heres da reviews:

Unseen Wycombe

River Rye runs round the back of where I live a few
roads away. Sometimes you notice it otherwise it's
invisible like all da migrant labour that cleans and
runs da town after hours. But its always there u just
don't always see it...

Take no heros...

Afridi is a gifted cricket player but a extremely fallable
one which is why I rate him. He's not perfect and he's
a bit of a rogue so he's banned from playing for
da next few weeks due to his merry jig on da pitch.
Our very own George Best (without da booze but hes
allegedly a bit of a playa wit da ladies). Getting up to
watch it live when its on and shouting da house down.

Found dis tune in my collection. I have got over
5000 records Cd's and tapes spread over 2 houses
so it can take a bit of time finding stuff. Slowly
transferring music over to a RCA Lyra 20gb player
that my partner got me from da States at a knock
down price last week. Not a flash Nano but it does
da bizniz.

Street philosophy in my local park....

Da leaves... Remind me of the classic coldcut version
of 'Autumn Leaves' (Irresistible Force Mix). Have
to dig up that tune.
