Damn its been hot today. Following some general
maintenance on the cars this morning we headed out for
lunch at one of the local bars and then went on to a
local carting circuit to race around like looneys (no
different to the rest of the week!). Later in the
afternoon we drove down to Le Mans and watached some
of the racing
(bloody hell its loud) and wandered around parts of
the circuit. Simply put pictures just dont do it
justice but I have taken a few snaps anyway. Driving
the daytona normally attracts alot of attention but at
Le Mans you start to feel like a film star, that is
until you get out and all of the cameras stay focussed
on the car and not you. As the group had seperated
our long journey home only had ourselves and Stuarts
race prepared Subaru in convey, that is until Petes
TVR T350t and Trevors Porsche Boxster
came thundering up out of the dark and as they knew
the way home (we were relying on Ians map reading!!)
they pulled in front and set the pace home. This has
to be one of the highlights of the trip, flying
through nearly deserted French country roads letting
the daytona (and me)have some real fun. I had always
thought that a big american muscle car would struggle
keeping up with the likes of Porches and TVRs through
twisting country roads but this certainly isnt
the case with the Daytona.___________________________________________________________
