Picture the scene. At some point, this little guy had managed to climb up onto my car. We have a lot of snails in the garden, but Brian the Snail certainly wasn't visible when I checked round the car before my trip.
4 hours later I park my car at Derby and spot a snail emerging from the wheel-arch. This, after a high speed (non stop) drive around the M25 and up the M1 to Derby.
He was soon re-located to a bush in the car park.
I wonder if Kentish snails are accepted by their Derby cousins?
