My Defective Ear

A 366-day pursuit in personal portraiture, presented by nige.

The challenge: to photograph, and post to this moblog, a portrait shot of myself, every single day, over the next year. Apparently, it's much harder than it sounds...

Perhaps more challenging: that i don't enjoy seeing my phizog in a photo at the best of times, and knowing that i'm probably going to annoy the hell out of the moblog community in doing this. So, sincere apologies in advance for this undertaking, but i just can't help myself. I promise to try and be creative, so you won't have to look at my mug every day.

Anyone interested in joining me? I think i'm probably going to need the company...

New dishwasher

(viewed 1191 times)
Besides my mum visiting this weekend, other highlights included delivery of the new dishwasher (now that the old one doesn't play ball any more). At least it was good for a dailyme.

I'm not ready for the medallion look just yet

(viewed 1186 times)
My mum came to visit today, and i noticed that she was wearing this pendant with my initials, designed by my uncle when i was just a few years old. it was realised by a kolkata-based jeweller in 22 carat gold, and given to my mum for safe keeping until i was old enough. it felt strange to see it for the first time in so many years.

much as a i love the design, i'm useless at keeping hold of jewelry, so i told mum i think she should keep it for the time being. i'm still not quite old enough yet...
