Padak

(viewed 1012 times)
Here's some shots from Padak. The 'cage' is where we eat, meet etc. The tents are our mossy domes to guard against all things crawly - although we shared the room with bats...
We were guests of Medair.

The flight to Padak from Lokichoggio. Look at that lovely pile of peli cases! These shots were taken during the flight up there to visit Medair on another MAF cessna caravan.

Trackmark Camp - Loki

(viewed 2608 times)
This place is a little oasis for pilots and others flying into Sudan etc. The can of doom was handy for taking out perhaps the largest cockroach I'd seen in sometime... The toukal (hut) was my (rather hot!) home for the night.

Mini Potti

(viewed 1528 times)
Whilst discussing the state of the loo at Lokichoggio, Rebecca who we were travelling with produced this contraption. It's a plastic bag filled with some kind of crystals that you can pee into... Really - She claims to have seen it on top gear. Nobody was prepared to road test it though...
