Lockerbie marker

Not exact location I'm afraid. Driving to Wales so needed to press on
and all that. Hope it's within the 2km limit? The stone is in a little
ridge above the sign. "So I'll always know where it is."

Marker 10 - A farmers field

(viewed 862 times)
Managed to get to marker 10 this is just outside the small town of Witham in the middle of Essex. It was absolutely freezing, windy and very muddy. The exact location was in the middle of a farmer's field, next to a railway track. I didn't really fancy trespassing and I'm sure a rather large piece of rock would damage a large piece of farm machinery. Not something I really want to be responsible for. Passing drivers probably thought I was crazy and if they saw me heading towards a railway line may have prompted calls to the local constabulary. So I left the rock at the side of the field where hopefully it will remain for some time.

Nothing much to do on a sunny Sunday morning, What better way to spend the day than finding a marker a couple of hours away and having a drive in the countryside to marker number 20 then havin a walk around Ross on Wye..
