These are random moments in the life of an indecent designer and the city she loves.

Everybody in this world wants the same damned thing-
just not at the same time.

I am a female, carbon based lifeform.
I am a New York City Native.
I am a Design Professional.
I take photographs.
I also sculpt, paint, create mosaics, and play with weapons.

And sometimes, I even dance about Architecture.

What I see, is what you get.

Saturday's Egg, part six: Painted, gilded, touched up, antiqued, finished, touched up, waxed, DONE.

(viewed 1862 times)
The final finish is an crackled tortie. The gold is real 22k, gilt. Hand
antiqued (as if there were another option in this case..) 3 coats of
finish, an INSANE number of touchups at every stage, and waxed.

This egg will wind up at auction, with proceeds to go towards the vet bill
of Saturday, wombat527 and onceupon's cat.

In the meantime...

This one is coming along.

(More Saturday's Egg photos tonight. The replacement is dyed but I need
sleep before painting it)

Saturday's egg, part 5: I can't believe I just did this.

(viewed 1828 times)
This is entirely my fault. I was just finished painting the tortoiseshell,
and was pushing down on the lids of the paint pots to seal them shut. I was
reading something at the same time and pushed down on the top of the egg

Will be back later with round two.

This was really dumb.

Saturday's egg, part 4: Dyed to match.

Basecoat's done....

Saturday's Egg, Part 3: All touched up.

Ready for dye now.
