(one touchup yesterday cascaded into about 6 coats of lacquer.)

This is the same piece of the table pictured earlier. Progress continues. *hopefully* I can get this section finished tonight. Overall the finish is fine. It's not perfect- I'm not using a spray booth and these are *FAR* from ideal conditions. I can see some imperfections, and to be honest there's at least 2 small cat hairs that are in there. Considering I have five cats here, I can live with those odds.

But I doubt anyone but me is going to examine this thing closely enough to complain and since I have no intentions of ever selling the table it doesn't matter.

I still have another few coats to put on the top edge of this section (which will be the bottom of the table when finished) before switching to the other piece of the table(which hasn't been touched yet, as evidenced by the matte finish.). With luck, nothing will go horribly wrong and I can get to that part tomorrow.
