No luck getting the scanner to work. Mike says he will try to beat it into submission this weekend. In the meantme, I've gone through all the boards again. I ripped apart all the boards I could that have parts that need to be scanned that don't require the use of some kind of large format (see next photo), but these are the ones that will have to either be redone for various reasons, OR be photographed/large format scanned.

There's 26 boards here out of the original 40 or so. :(

I'm going to bring all the little bits I can over to monster's tonight and use his scanner to get them scanned. Blah.

The disk that contained all my design work for the past five years is gone. The disk was a backup to my hard drives, which have likewise had this data removed from them.

I still have about half the projects I've done in the past five years available to me digitally, but the other half are no longer available except in their original format, which is to say, the project boards.

In order for me to get my portfolio together I have to go through all the boards I have and remove those which need things scanned.

This is the pile of things that need SCANNING, not the total pile. I went through *ALL* the boards the other night with the assistance of the monster, and this was the stuff that was pulled for recreation. There's about 35 boards here. Some of the things will probably have to be large format scanned (at $11 a board.) but I am probably going to try to photograph those first with my digital and hope I can get a decent image. The others I will rip apart (which I hate to do because these things take forever to put together) and scan as pieces so I can get all the images and information together before I begin the process of gathering it all into some kind of slick and nifty format.

Just thinking about this makes me tired.
