Definitely in a black and white mood at the moment - more B&W; photos from the beach this morning.
I'm going to be joining the ranks of DSLR users soon. I'll probably still use my little Casio compact camera (which I love) but I think it's time to get back to using an SLR. So I've bought one on Ebay. Should arrive in the next couple of days, hopefully. Can't wait to try it out...

OK, so it's not winter yet - but today it felt like it. Decided to put the camera in B&W; mode on our morning beach walk.
Phew...busy time lately. Been ploughing a furrow up and down the M4 quite a lot over the last week. On Sunday I had to take 5 Australian rugby players from Cardiff to London. Which was great, apart from nightmare weather and traffic.
Strange to actually have a whole day at home today. Shame I have to spend it doing my VAT return...
Anyway, this is Tim posing beneath the moon yesterday evening.
Thanks for all your good wishes.
Tim is much better now, running around as if nothing ever happened. Still needs a small dressing on his paw, though. And the cut above his eye (still no idea how he did that) is hardly visible at all now.
This morning we had our first trip to the beach in a couple of days. Don't be fooled by the blue sky, by the way. It was absolutely freezing.
Tim was not particularly impressed about being back on the beach, though. It was far too cold as far as he was concerned. He was impatient to get back to the nice warm car.
Tim has a poorly paw.
His right foreleg and paw got badly mangled in an accident some years ago and his paw has been a little deformed since. Yesterday during our walk on the beach he somehow cut his paw. I don't know how, I just noticed the blood pouring out of it as we walked home.
Anyway, it wasn't a large cut so I wasn't overly concerned. I'm used to the fact that greyhounds bleed profusely, even for minor cuts. When we got home I managed to staunch the blood, but then after a while he started licking it and making it worse (and getting blood all over his bed), so I decided that it would be best to put a dressing on it.
He wasn't really bothered by it until I put the dressing on, then he suddenly realised that there something wrong with his paw and he's been playing the invalid ever since.
He does look sorry for himself, doesn't he?
An all too brief interlude during our walk on the beach this afternoon when it wasn't lashing down with rain!
