Storm Runner (alternate view)

(viewed 829 times)
Just another view of Storm Runner (read below for more info on this great ride) - this is after the loop, and you can see how the track corkscrews a couple of times. Just thought I'd post it since I took it, ya know?

Big Bear!

This picture doesn't do it justice... it gets a lot closer to you than the picture shows, and when you're on it, you think your feet are gonna hit the ground!

Storm Runner!!!

(viewed 853 times)
Words can't describe this machine. It starts with a hydraulically launched 0-75mph in 2.2 seconds, then goes 90 degrees straight up for 160 ft - the left side of the picture. Over the "top hat" form, then down 90 degrees for 180 feet! It goes through a corkscrew in which you hang upside down in your harness for a moment before whipping through the rest of the ride. One of the best coasters I've been on - and the first inverted Rocket Coaster in the world. Well worth the visit. Heck, the initial acceleration off the line is worth it even without the ride!

A new spoiler champion is crowned!

(viewed 790 times)
This is in the parking lot at HersheyPark in central Pennsylvania. It was two cars down from ours, and I couldn't resist getting an early start on my picture taking for the day. Note also the body kit: rear, sides, and front. I wonder if this guy's mom knows what he did to her car! So, my eager listeners, the bar is set! This is how high you have to go to win the Worst Spoiler contest. Until someone beats it, that is. I'll keep an eye out. :)

Outstanding!

Now, I've never hidden the fact that I HATE "The Family Circus" comic; those who know me have heard the rants. It ruins the whole page - they should have it at the bottom so I don't have to see it first. That being said, whoever did this parody has my gratitude; you've made it tolerable for me, if only for one brief moment.

I've outsmarted my fish!

My Ghost Knife is rarely seen during the daytime. I figured that if I gave him a place to "hide in plain sight" that he might actually come out and be seen. Lo and behold, here he is, in his new "tree." He seems to like it, and I can actually see him when the sun is out. Of course, I'm so smart that I inadvertently included fragments of myself in the upper right. :)

Cleo gets bored waiting for food.

She was doing so well in her quest to gather any scraps from breakfast, but at some point she lost her focus and faded out. :)

Tesla is trying to get tan for the beach

(viewed 746 times)
In the summertime, the sun comes through the skylights right across the bed. I hate this, because by 10am, the sun is blaring into your eyes. Tesla, however, loves it, and will scoot across the bed with the sun. One benefit; she ends up with that sun-warmed dog smell that's so wonderful.
