Our blog was set up, primarily, for children in school to see what others were up to when off-site. However, after only a few weeks of actually getting pictures on the site the possibilities for inspiring learning are becoming apparent.
We'd already established links with two schools in France but we are now exploring the potential of mutual blogs so that our children can comment and interact with international partners. We're receiving pictures from the arctic from one of our parents and the level of interest in geography is rising withouteven trying. The potential is immense.
It might sound like it but we're not anoraks!
BLOGGING'S GREAT FUN
and, at the same time, a fantastic educational opportunity.

Today the Rev Vasey-Saunders came into school to take Harvest Assembly.
The response was overwhelming and we were all touched by the generosity and kindness of families who donated food and toiletries to the Pathway Project.
Thank you to all those who supported us.

Arrangements mean that parents of Reception aged children come into school at the start of the day to share an activity with their child. This is proving to be a great success; the atmosphere in class is one of industry and enjoyment.

Buying food as part of healthy eating. We're currently exploring healthy eating as background for development of a web-based Healthy Eating game. The children in Year 5 are developing the game via a local company and in association with the District Council. When the game's up and running there'll be a link from the school website.
Here it is

Taking part in the world skipping challenge. I wonder how many people managed to skip non-stop for the full three minutes. 44 of our children did - puffing and blowing all over the place.
