This counter only counts visitors once so that we see the actual number of visitors to our page.
Our blog was set up, primarily, for children in school to see what others were up to when off-site. However, after only a few weeks of actually getting pictures on the site the possibilities for inspiring learning are becoming apparent.
We'd already established links with two schools in France but we are now exploring the potential of mutual blogs so that our children can comment and interact with international partners. We're receiving pictures from the arctic from one of our parents and the level of interest in geography is rising withouteven trying. The potential is immense.
It might sound like it but we're not anoraks!
BLOGGING'S GREAT FUN
and, at the same time, a fantastic educational opportunity.

Year 4 wrote this collaborative poem in 'moaning mode'!
WHY?
Why does my brother call me names?
And why does my sister always hit?
Why is my bedroom so small? It's tiny?
It's annoying I have to admit!
I've never enough money to buy what I want.
Why can't I watch the T.V.?
And why does my dog destroy everything?
If it's missing it's always me.
Why do I have to get up in the mornings?
And why does my brother pinch my food?
It's so boring having to tidy my room.
It puts me in a really bad mood!
Why do they always mess with my stuff?
And I wish my brother wouldn't tickle.
Why do I always come second in things?
And why is maths always a pickle?
Why are my computer games interrupted?
And why can't they leave me in peace?
Why am I always an 'untidy wreck'?
Just 'cos my shirt's got a crease?
Oh why can't life be easier?
I hate to grumble, you see.
But it's really hard being an 8 year old.
Do you feel sorry for me?
