cheap labour

(viewed 368 times)
always the same, i pop home for a bacon sandwich and chat with the folks, maybe a cuddle with the new niece and end up getting roped into some heavy manual labour in the garden or allotment.

bank holiday monday was no exception. after some faffing we eventually got the brush-cutter going and cleared a good chunk of what you see in the foreground there (in front of dad modelling this season's must have oil-stained shirt and mulch-spattered jacket).

found a few little frogs in the long grass this friendly toad lurking in the hedge. gave him a new home in the now almost full compost heap.

sore back and arms today. allotmenteering is hard work.
