.....away in Geneva was "This hotel looks just like a Swiss Chalet".I think that's the look the Swiss Hotel was going for.

Kids, fireworks, matches - Discuss.
Waiting for the band in the market square in Versailles with probably about 100 other people... We watched kids playing... With matches and fireworks.
Bangers, rockets and toddlers; that'll be France then.

14 July is Bastille Day in France. Versailles does stuff the evening
before, including a parade (so much smaller than the one in Paris the day
after that I missed it completely) and then there's a band on in the
evening. They were great.

2 views of Versailles: Porchefontaine Railway Station and the leafy Avenue
de Paris. Tranquile!

Just for the day during the week before last. Stayed in the Etap in Brum
City Centre; clean, cheap and friendly. It's a brand new hotel and feels
like it.

More French oddness in Honfleur.
Beautiful place and we might be living there in a few months.
In fact my younger brother gave (lent) it to me ages ago.... But now it is
no more.
It was in need of a serious going over before I fell off it all those months ago (new gearset needed, new chain, new ratchet / bearing, tyres.....)
and then I bent the bits that were ok.
Do those handlebars look straight to you? And the bar-ends looked lethal before I bent them.
So bye-bye bike. Sniff. You've been a friend and you've done your best to kill me once or twice... But that's ok 'cos now you're replaced.
