Tim's Travelling Adventures

by Penfold

Well, this started out as a way that my wife could follow my lone progress in my little sports car from Birmingham UK to Orkney.

Been there, done that 2 day there, 13hour return trip.

So now follow me: an Englishman representing Americans and based in a French office near Paris. With an appartment in Versailles and trips back to the UK anything can happen and, frankly, I've no idea where this will lead!

Chantilly: Nuits de Feu

(viewed 1275 times)
Went to Chantilly Chateau for a Fireworks competition called "Nuits de Feu". It's a 2 day competition and has 50,000 people attend (that's on ticket sales, there were thousands more in the carpark. It's great you get about 5 massive firework displays on each night.

Versailles Water and Sound

A chilled Sunday in Versailles palace gardens. Strolling around listening to
the sound of fountains an classical music. Such a nice place to live.

Light on the A1

(viewed 383 times)
Went to pick Sharon up from the Airport on Friday. It's already 30degC in
Paris and that's more than enough when stuck in traffic with the roof down
and no aircon. They say it will be 37degC on Wednesday. Phew. This is in a
section they've build to stop traffic noise getting away from the autoroute.
