This photo was taken before I was born, we think around 1978 although I'm
taking it to my grandparents shortly to try and get my Gramps to put a more
accurate date on it. It has all the most important men from my childhood
included in it, It's liek a capsule containing my whole life history!
Photo one group shot '78/'79(ish)
Photo two - this man is Peter. He's my Dad, He died suddenly in 1985 when I
was only 4. One day he was here, the next he was gone
Photo three - this man is Tony, my maternal Grandad, . We went with my mom
and lived with my grandparents for a short while after my Dad passed away
giving my mom chance to grieve and recover from the shock of becoming a
widow and single parent overnight. While everyone else was hearing "You just
wait until you father gets home!!" This is the man I was threatened with, he
was, and still is my male role model from early childhood and I know I could
still go to him for anything! He's been with me FOREVER!
Photo four - This man is Dave, he was one of Dad's very good friends, He is
now my stepdad - My mom and Dave got together when I was 14, They married in
2001 when i was 20.I truly would not wish for her to be with anyone else! He
is a fantastic Dad to me, my sister and brother and Grandfather for the
blonde kid. He's supported my mom and cared for us for years and I'm glad it
was him my mom married! I hope he sticks around a whole lot longer!!
Candle lit dinner for 2.
Italian food plus candles plus music and romance equals James in my good books.

So tacky it moves straight through the spectrum of TACK and becomes cool
again - I love it!!
I think the cat may need reading glasses!
This year the blonde kid spent Christmas day with his dad.
I hate seeing him go but in the interests of fairness it has to be done SO we wrote a letter to Father Christmas and asked him if he'd come to our house on a different day this year, He was lovely about it and asked of NYE would be a suitable alternative and it was.
Therefore Christmas came a whole week late in our house. We had presents although much later in the day than on a normal Christmas day due to the late night the evening before.
I cooked a dinner with all the trimmings and served it buffet style for 15 - and actually found space for everyone to sit!
Then i got flu which developed into a chest infection and due to the fact I needed to put all my effort into breathing (something I kinda needed to do to live) I am now blogging about it another week late!!
Prickly Pierre The Christmas Cactus. He was part of the gift I received from my secret santa - of in our works instance NOT so secret santa!
