Roadkill

(viewed 1004 times)
Cycling to work this morning I found this in the middle of the lane, so I
thought I would share it. Think of it as a little obituary if you like.

What here once was living is now very dead,
Primarily because of a blow to the head.
This bird won't be flying through blue skies again,
Since a head-on collision pushed it's beak through it's brain.

R.I.P. dickie-bird.

Loathing life but adoring the moment. Fed up and chilled all at once. How very bloody confusing!

More close-ups

...and then I saw these.

Hmmm. I reckon that's more than enough shots from the garden now.

I'd better think of somewhere interesting to go....

Bouyed up by kind comments on my "orange flower" shots(and being stuck at
work again) I took another trip round the garden to see what I could see.
And this is what I saw.

Orange flower revisited

(viewed 785 times)
Glanced out of the window this evening at work and noticed that the orange
flower I'd absently snapped earlier in my moblog was now thriving. I'd sort
of written it off in my mind after I'd taken the original picture and
presumed it would die off quickly.

I thought I'd better resolve my karma by celebrating it's existence a bit
more, so here are some more shots of it and it's mates.

And besides, my other shots today came out crap. :-)

What Sharp don't tell you...

(viewed 1093 times)
The Sharp GX30 mobile phone. 1 megapixel camera, video recording, 7 colour flashlight, MP3 player, 6mb internal memory, also takes SD cards up to 512mb. Not to mention quad-band, caller ID, excellent GPRS internet access, etc. etc. Very impressive.

But nowhere in the manual, Sharp's website or even in the independent reviews do they mention that it stalks you in the middle of the night laughing maniacally and taking pictures of you in bed.

DAMN YOU GX30!

Out & About

(viewed 685 times)
Ah for the fresh air, the well-adjusted machinery gliding silently along, the healthy feeling of well-being that comes from good exercise in the open air. See how it gleams, see how I beam...

Ah for the fields, the trees and the hedgerows, for wildlife and farmlife and everything rural. See the beautiful white horses grazing the ground, basking in sunshine and lazing around...

Ah for the pollen count, the snot running down my chin, my eyes swelling up, where the hell am I....help!

If anyone recognises this scenery please come and get me.

woohoo! I bought a bike yesterday, nothing fancy but I love cycling so it doesn't matter. Didn't get chance to ride it yesterday, but I'm off out now. Seeya!
