I'm a British mathematician, been in the Netherlands for 35 years ("chercher la femme"). Recently became a double proud grandfather. Have a compulsion, but it's not secret, to want to correct miscarriages of justice involving abuse of science, see Dhamaka's plea
THE 9-11 was my 50th birthday. That's why I use it in my internet name, but English fashion, 11-9. The other part is my surname.
No-one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition

Paleis Park 't Loo, Apeldoorn, including the Forellenvijver ("trout pond"), the Willemstempel, the oldest Douglas firs of the Netherlands (the seeds a gift from Mr. Douglas himself to the then king), a Western Tsuga, and some rare glimpses of Mrs G.
Both photos taken not far from where Vermeer stood viewing his view of Delft. You can in particular see one of the same church towers. The snowman is in the garden of my two grandsons.
Dec 9: "This morning Lucia was very down, about the fact that it's going to take so long. She is down to her last penny. She doesn't get any social security and the two of them are living off Peter's minimal social security payments. If anyone has anything to spare financially, the bank account information is: L.I.Q. de Berk, Den Haag; account nr. 436916 ING/postbank. Perhaps a nice thought for Christmas. IBAN: NL27INGB0000436916. BIC: INGBNL2A. ING Bank N.V., 1000 AV Amsterdam, Netherlands"

This is where I spent the last three nights. Last night was not quite as cold as the previous two.

We visited the christmas fair at Aachen, enjoyed Gluhwein, and the cathedral built by Charlemagne around 800, and the gold shrine with his bones, and being in Germany.

Picture is not really Lucia...
The Lucia case is almost over. The final scene of this last (main) act will be 17 March 2010. Investigations of the last nine months have confirmed that the cases of Amber, Achmed, Achraf are all natural deaths/incidents. And these are the only ones where there was even a semblance of proof. The court will need less than a day to wind things up. In the meantime: no more investigations, no more experts.
