My Pet Hate: is TUESDAY, everything that has ever gone wrong in my life has happened on a TUESDAY! I hate it, it's now my day off so that i don't have to face the world! Don't make me have to suffer TUESDAY by asking me about it!!! I also dislike girls who drink pints, smoke and generally act like men!!

Origin Displayed: Scottish

The first people to use the name Millar were a family of Strathclyde-Britons who lived in the Scottish/English Borderlands. They lived in the county of Dumfries.

Spelling variations include: Miller, Millar, Myllar, Mylar, Millare, Myllair and many more.

First found in Dumfriesshire, where the Millar family was seated from ancient times.

Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: John Millar, who arrived in St. John's, Newfoundland in 1705; Daniel Millar, who settled in Maryland in 1714; George Millar, who was recorded as a runaway servant, convict, or slave in Delaware in 1754.
Motto Translated: The best things await us in heaven.

The Millars do not have a specific tartan but their strong links lie with the MacFarlanes.
