Farnham Park was wet and muddy under foot, but the sun was out and the skies were blue.
I went for a walk in Farnham Park earlier and ran into some cows. I have no idea what they were so absorbed by in the last picture.
My Madagascar dragon tree is touching the ceiling, and looking very leggy and sad. So the plan is to turn it into two plants using the power of air layering. It's a risky operation, I've never done this before.
1) Touching the ceiling
2) The first incision - I should really have got an adult to help me with this
3) Peel back the bark and the cambium layer (I had to look that up in a book)
4) Too late to turn back now
5) Damp moss and cling-film
Will it work? Watch this space...
I've just been sitting in the sun watching this chap build himself a web. He was moving pretty fast so I did what Caine suggested and asked if I could take his photograph... and he let me.
Digging through some old photographs again. I seem to have an awful lot of pictures of orange flowers.
A green shield bug, Collect 400 books of these and you can have a hostess trolley.
This is why the snails must be defeated.
It looks as if my apple tree will give me a good crop this year... as long as the plague of snails doesn't devour everything first. I set about repelling the enemy but they sent reinforcements. This is a battle I must win, my insatiable appetite for apple crumble depends on it.
