Fush n chups

The pond is no more. Fat boy's gone to a bigger pond. When we bought the house Fat boy came as part of the fixture and fittings. Other fish came and went but fat boy kept on growing. Then the pump finally gave up and as we are getting a puppy and fat boy was getting too big for the size of pond we had we looked on Gumtree and found someone looking for fish. Nice big, deep pond. He took the snails and the big reed as well. But then we started finding the frogs. And a newt. Didn't realise we had such a little eco system. Several trips to the local pond and we hope everyone is happy in their new homes.

Stopping place no. 2

(viewed 698 times)
The exact spot where I parked my van. The view from my 'bedroom' (here is where the birds sing, here is where the sky is blue). The lonely road.

Many a day being eaten alive by the voracious midge before finding the power of Avon so soft or plastic melting DEET.

It's just past the Kings Hotel, on the road down to Glen Etive.

No. 3

(viewed 719 times)
Weekend walk number 3 was round Linlithgow loch. The sun was shining and it was a very slow amble. Swans and ducks on nests and sheep panting in the shade.

Thingermee Bob

(viewed 818 times)
They've finished painting and restoring the thingermee bob at Harlaw reservoir, where we've taken to walking some evenings. Contemplating getting a puppy - but can we commit?!! I'm not sure what the thingermee does but believe it operates the plug hole which causes it to rain in north queensland.
