This is London, not Antartica, so why don't the tubes run all night,
You are my Girlfriend, not Molly Ringwald, so why won't you stay here tonight,
This is sixth form poetry not Keats or Yeats, and now we find the part that we both hate.

We love the city because it lets us down, We love the city NOT the suburbs that surround.
We love all the dirty things, that lead us to think, that maybe true love could be found.
We love the city because its how we live, We love the city cause it never loves us back.
We love it all because sometimes, even though they're hard to find, it contains all the virtues we lack.

(Hefner "We Love The City")

Sunshine fix before work

(viewed 1075 times)
These are the gardens opposite 4 millbank (where I work), adjacent to houses of parliament... A nice place to come to get my rare dose of vitamin D when, on a rare occasion like today, my train gets me into central london early enough.
Some guys were playing football and pissed another office sun seeker off by hitting her with it (by accident, I think). Cue shouting match. Isn't London lovely in the summertime?

Middlesex Uni Degree Show

This was my friend Myra (and others at Middlesex Uni)'s degree show... photos are mainly from the printed textiles and decoration course as that's what she was doing.I'm so jealous of everybody's talent! When I'm in the position to be an owner occupier, she's definitely having a say in the decor. (oh, and give her a job, someone, she's brilliant!)

A very nice evening, with the added bonus of free champagne.

This is Lord Hylton. He has possibly one of the best beards in the world, not least because it makes him stand out from all the other old men in the Lords, and therefore I always know who the hell he is when I'm captioning.

pity about the lack of reflection...

You can just (if you squint) see the Erotic Gherkin (TM) in the background.
