Been a while since I posted a Pocky/Kitkat report, and then I came across this in my drawer at work that I had forgotten about. Pineapple Pocky. These were very nice - tart and sweet, just like good pineapple. Win!
At last I have my games room back again - as you can see, I need quite a bit of space to accomodate it all :-)
On the left, the games selection (although there's more cartridges and discs in the box under the PS2 Eye Toy)
In the middle, the 21st century consoles (even the X-Box has made a re-appearance, although mainly for the emulators that are loaded on the HD - it's like the history of arcade games in there!)
On the right, the retro corner/handhelds. I found a Sega Game Gear I had completely forgotten about while clearing out our back room...I wish I still had my Turbo-Duo, but I gave it to Paul - he desired it more :-) And my old SInclair ZX81, that would be soopah nostalgic (but totally useless and only ornamental...still...)
Gosh it's nice to have it all out. I'll have to have a games night party with pizza soon. That will be ace.
:-)
This is what we did in our last lesson for our beginner's computer class - ate cake :-)

Two rather colourful tags dahn Dalston way that I spotted the other night.
Sometimes I can't help but agree.
But then other times I bake cupcakes and all is right with the world.
:-)
Monkey feet shoes. The horror.
Now THESE I'm really impressed with. I'm comfortable enough now with my basic recipe that I can start mucking about with it, and this idea combines two favourites -- cake...and booze.
So the cake bit is an almond and Disarono flavour. Mmm, almond liquer...I used some ground almonds in place of a little of the flour as well. What you can't see that clearly in the second is the extra flavouring I added - I dissolved some brown sugar in some MORE Disarono, and then poked holes in the top of the cake and drizzled it in. Worked like a charm. The frosting is a Frangelico buttercream. So this is like a double nut liquer cupcake.
It's bloody lovely :-) Alf, you better get your arse over here while there's still some left - you'll kick yourself if you don't get to try these...
